The VIAVI RANtoCore(TM) platform offers end-to-end testing from Radio Access to Edge to Core.
TeraVM products within this platform are enabling successful commercial wireless deployments guaranteeing the highest standards. TeraVM is a complete end-to-end validation solution enabling carriers, mobile virtual network operators and network equipment vendors to validate the network topologies, systems and devices by generating control and user plane traffic.
Statistics and key performance indicators are provided to validate the functionality and performance of mobile services or to assess performance of individual nodes of the mobile network.
Product Development Program Manager (4G/5G, RAN & Core)
The Product Development Program Manager, applies expert knowledge of TeraVM products by developing and managing project schedules with engineering teams and communicate project status to stakeholders, upper management and customers.
For this position, we require deep technical expertise in telecommunication networks, specifically 5G RAN and CORE, along with the ability to discuss complex requirements with both customers and our Engineering team.
- Responsible for providing Program Management in Product Development and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers' business needs.
- Create and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of telecommunications industry/market domain knowledge.
- Actively contribute to the company's solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.
- Work with multidisciplinary cross-functional teams.
- Owning the Software Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and management of releases across multiple business-critical applications.
Often leads small to medium-sized technical projects.
Develop and manage project schedules with engineering teams and communicate project status to stakeholders, upper management, and customers.
Work closely with project team members on conceptual design, testing, and performance characterization.
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Works with and under the direction of the Project Manager/Solution Architect and with customer nominated representatives.
Liaises with the Solutions Architect as appropriate.
Plans release windows and the overall release lifecycle.
Manages risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
A completed Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of market, business development, or product management experience.
Experience of working in the telecommunications industry (5G/6G RAN & CORE).
- 5+ years of experience managing technically complex projects and proven hands-on product development and project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong team player, self-starter and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle, processes and tools for project planning.
- Strong decision-making ability to troubleshoot problems and bring resolution.
- Is fluent in English, German is a plus.
- The role is likely to involve travel to key customer sites for direct engagements - flexibility to travel may be required (Up-to 20%).
