(TV-L E13, 100% Stelle) We are looking for a research associate (data scientist) (m/f/d) at the TUM Campus Heilbronn. The position (m/f/d) is limited to 24 months (extension for another 24 months is possible). Expected starting date is February 2025 or by mutual agreement. The Global Center for Family Enterprises focuses on researching the intersection between entrepreneurship and family enterprise. Our goal is to develop solutions through practice-oriented research and thus generate direct benefits for the economy and society. Your tasks Advise and assist researchers at the Professorship of Entrepreneurship & Family Enterprise with regard to data handling Extract, clean, merge and prepare data for research projects Data storage and management including maintenance of data repertoires Data analysis and visualization with new scientific methods in various contexts Write data descriptions and summary reports Autonomously identify potential data sources for research projects Independently prepare and run courses at the Bachelor's and Master's level (5 SWS) on topics such as data management, analysis and data visualization Your profile A master's degree or equivalent in management/business administration, economics, mathematics, information systems, informatics, or a related field Experience in extracting, cleaning, preparing and analyzing data (e.g. business research databases, websites) using scientific methods Advanced knowledge of statistical programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, SAS, Stata, R, etc.) and excellent statistical skills Experience in data storage and management Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) Very good organizational skills Knowledge in web scraping of publicly available websites of advantage Speaking German is an asset, but not required We offer An interesting job in a modern working environment at one of the leading universities in Europe Self-determined work related to interdisciplinary research projects A diverse and fair working environment The opportunity to work at the intersection of Management and Technology Full-time position (part-time possible) Application We look forward to receiving your application documents in one pdf-file (including letter of motivation, university and work certificates, CV, other certificates) preferably via e-mail by November 25, 2024 at quoting the keyword "Data Scientist".
