About this opportunity:
We are looking for a HR Delivery Specialist/ People Operations Specialist (Germany & Switzerland) to perform activities related to People administration according to current processes/ procedures and local rules/ regulations. The position holder will also perform analysis and suggest improvements on processes and tools as well as participate in broader People projects and manage local vendors as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong attention to detail, be able to manage and manipulate large data sets and handle very sensitive information. Ideally, you should also have a basic understanding of the German and/ or Swiss labour law and other local legal aspects related to payroll and immigration. This job includes cross-functional co-operation with Finance, Legal, Sourcing, and other teams within the People function and will be based in Aachen/ Herzogenrath, Germany.
Tasks and activities:Execute People policies and processes
Perform and support administrative activities related to the employee life cycle from hire to retire (such as onboarding/ offboarding, long service awards), international mobility, reporting, etc.
Draft employee offers, employment contracts/ amendments and agreements within a set framework
Deliver remuneration, payroll and immigration administration services
Develop and maintain work instructions incl. administrative procedures
Provide operational knowledge to projects and People deliverables
Support process modelling
Propose improvements on People and other processes and tools
Manage invoicing/ manual payments, including follow-up and escalation resolution
Maintain day to day cooperation & contact with external parties
Prepare SOX (payroll) controls as needed
Facilitate and perform data audits as needed
Participate in testing of any People/ internal company-related systems (UAT, business test)
Keep local documentation and information sources up to date
Generate ad hoc reports & statistics as needed
Ensure legal compliance of legislation (data privacy, data management, etc.) and ways of working
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Economics, or other relevant fields, or comparable educational background
Anticipated overall years of professional experience: 2-5 plus years; applications from recent Graduates with HR internship experience are welcome as well
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite
Full proficiency in English and German language
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Proactive, positive mindset with a strong process improvement attitude
Tech-savvy, analytical and problem-solving skills, financial acumen
Ability to work constructively and effectively in a team environment across geographies and time zones
Experience in multinational matrix companies is desirable
Experience in navigating HR systems, such as SuccessFactors (SF), is desirable
