Job description

Senior Materials Engineer (Hydrogen)

Our Client's UK Integrity Management offices, at the heart of the energy transition and projects around the repurposing of existing pipeline networks, requires a Senior Materials Engineer to deliver materials related workscopes.
The role involves working with engineers and technicians on commercial client projects and internal R&D initiatives, including projects relating to hydrogen and more sustainable energy sources.

Responsibilities
â Providing Materials engineering consultancy services to customers on pipelines, installations and offshore structures
â Drafting and reviewing materials specifications
â Delivering technical projects and reports to customers on programmes of work in the field of materials engineering
â Providing materials engineering consultancy to other groups, including input into failure investigations carried out
â Giving presentations to and participating in technical meetings with clients
â Successfully managing complex / challenging projects with multiple resources

Required Skills & Experience
â Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Metallurgy or a Materials related discipline
â Proven track record, with experience in a relevant role and industry
â Excellent written and verbal communication skills
â Confident and competent in signing off / approving technical reports / documentation

â The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and permanent
