Job description

We are recruiting Welders/Fabricators on behalf of an Oil Field Services company based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.

DESCRIPTION:

As Fabricator/Welder you will have key welding/fabricating skills critical to becoming an experienced and key member of our ISE Ops manufacturing team. As Fabricator you will develop a strong understanding of our manufacturing processes using the most advanced machinery for wireline masts, BOP control modules and transportation frame manufacturing. Your ability to study and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials and plan task sequences will be crucial to this role. Developing our business goes hand in hand with developing our people's skills, with the support of the Cell Leader, you will be open to career progression and continued self-development to reach personal and business goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

â Be familiar with all fabricated products of the company and being fully conversant with the fabrication and engineering drawings.
â Be proficient in the use of all welding equipment used in the Fabrication Shop
â Engage in training to achieve minimum of a flux-core & solid wire welding qualification, where not already in place.
â Demonstrate a skillset using various hand tools which training has been provided
â Contribute to the development of systems and improvement in working practices and processes
â Interpret and verify drawings specifications to determine materials requirements and task sequences
â Effectively report any HSE or productivity issues through the correct channels
â Participate in resolving assembly and production issues.
â Complete preventative maintenance.
â Maintaining production area housekeeping
â Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
â Develop knowledge of all major production plant and equipment throughout the company.
â Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times

â Time served Fabrication/Welding
Desirable
â Retained coding's in a range of welding disciplines

Experience:

Essential
â Working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques in a similar industry

â 5 year experience in similar position

Skills, training or special knowledge:

Essential
â Understanding of and ability to interpret fabrication drawings
â Understanding of welding materials and processes in accordance with ASME standards
Desirable
â Responsible for delivering manufacturing project.
â Fabricated projects using range of materials and welding disciplines
