Position: TIG Welder
Location: Bedford
Hours per week: 39 hours
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-12pm

About the Role
As my client continues to grow, they are looking for a Welder to join their team in Bedford. If you are a skilled fabricator with TIG welding experience, we would love to hear from you.
This is a full-time position primarily working with stainless steel in the production team. TIG welding is a key component of the role, and you will also assist in other manufacturing processes as needed.
You will be responsible for daily checks on equipment, ensuring proper setup, defect-free parts, and correct PPE usage. You will work with stainless steel and aluminium materials of varying thickness (0.9mm to 5.0mm) to produce products on time and to the expected standards, while adhering to health and safety requirements. A clean and tidy work area is essential, and your work will undergo quality checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and TIG weld a range of products.
  • Complete daily checks on equipment and ensure PPE is worn correctly.
  • Work with various materials, including stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Complete jobs in a timely manner, ensuring health and safety standards are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Produce products that meet quality checks and standards.
  • Assist in other manufacturing processes as needed.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
  • Fabrication and TIG welding skills (essential).
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently using initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Comfort working in a welding bay in a production environment.
  • A reliable, self-disciplined mindset to achieve targets and meet customer demands.
