Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a skilled contract management team to deliver on business and government objectives.
  • Act as a role model for health, safety, environmental, and quality management, ensuring contracts align with safety standards and behaviours.
  • Establish and maintain credible, complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial and government partners.
  • Drive supplier segmentation (quality, performance, risk) and implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for key suppliers.
  • Monitor and mitigate supplier risks (quality, safety, environmental, and dependency risks) and develop corrective action plans.
  • Ensure contract control systems support post-contract commitments and governance processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring changes in laws or regulations, mitigating conflicts of interest or breaches of ethics.
  • Develop and implement Supplier Strategies to optimize value and mitigate risks.
  • Lead contract negotiations, manage challenging stakeholder relationships, and track contract performance against KPIs.
  • NEC and construction experience is beneficial, though not required.
  • Operate in a high-pressure environment; private sector and large programme experience is an advantage.
