Electrical Contracts Designer

Are you an electrical designer looking for your next challenge?

Here's a gret opportunity to join a dynamic Engineering team as an Electrical Contracts Designer, where you'll be responsible for creating electrical designs for switchgear products.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Applications Engineers to develop and modify electrical schematics, including designs for CT/VT, electrical interlocking, and control systems.
Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to address any issues related to design drawings.

Assist in producing contract job packs and deliverables, ensuring on-time project completion.

Provide support for customer queries and internal departments regarding electrical designs and manufacturing requirements.

Maintain accuracy in project work, ensuring compliance with high standards of drawing quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

Qualifications: HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in the switchgear industry, ideally in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical)
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Knowledge of electrical protection systems and industry standards is advantageous but not a nessesity.
