Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is essential in driving growth and expanding our market presence within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, excellent strategic thinking skills, and a proven track record in business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis:

  2. Business Strategy:

  3. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
    • Engage with existing clients to understand their needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Sales Leadership:

    • Lead the sales team in identifying new business opportunities and developing effective sales pitches.
    • Collaborate with marketing to create promotional strategies that drive product visibility and sales.
  5. Performance Tracking:

    • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to refine business development strategies and improve outcomes.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to align business strategies and ensure successful product launches.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to achieve company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
