Contract Type: Permanent Placement (Starting January)
Salary: M1 to UPS3 + TLR
Hours: Full-time, Standard Teaching Hours with Full Teaching Responsibilities

Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join our school community in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, starting in January. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of the Physical Education department while taking on full teaching responsibilities. The role comes with the potential for additional leadership responsibilities, offering career progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective PE lessons across various year groups, promoting physical activity and health education.
  • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages students of all abilities to participate in sports and physical activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Promote a love for physical activity and teamwork among students.
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities, including organizing and coaching sports teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within the department, supporting the development of junior staff (if applicable).

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a background in teaching Physical Education.
  • A passion for sports and physical education, with a commitment to inspiring students.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in active learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular sports and activities.
  • Previous experience or interest in taking on leadership responsibilities is an advantage.
