Job description

Asset Manager (Affordable Housing)

Do you want a career that makes a real difference? Are you passionate about improving lives through innovative building projects?

We're looking for a proactive Asset Manager to join a growing team in Cambridge. Specialising in affordable housing asset management, you'll play a vital part in delivering planned maintenance programmes, making existing homes more energy-efficient for residents.

What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications.
  • Generous benefits package, including travel schemes for site visits (with an EV car option available!) and a range of health and wellbeing benefits.
  • Supportive work environment that champions your personal and career development.
  • Flexible working arrangements, with the option to work remotely with occasional travel required to client sites and company offices in Cambridge (1-2 days p/w preferred).

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with a highly experienced team to manage costs for planned maintenance programmes, including publically funded energy efficiency projects.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial estimates through to on-site delivery.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, contractors, and the supply chain.
  • Become a resident building expert, with a deep understanding of construction and maintenance techniques.
  • Work independently and confidently, taking ownership of projects and client satisfaction.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in asset management or programmed maintenance contracts, particularly for affordable housing projects.
  • A strong grasp of construction technologies used in maintaining and improving homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for sustainability and improving the lives of residents.

This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
