Job description

We are seeking Bus Drivers to join our team, working with one of our clients in Cambridgeshire. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations.

Duties

- Drive buses along scheduled routes

- Ensure the safety of passengers during transit

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus

- Communicate effectively with passengers

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues

- Ability to maintain a clean driving record

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficient in English language

- Skilful in driving large vehicles

-Licence requirements Full Category D

-Experience required minimum 6 months full time bus or coach driving

-Type of vehicle you will be driving full size on either local service bus work, or express/tour coach work

-Any age limits - none

-Amount of penalty points allowed maximum of 6

-Full time working 5 out of 7 shift pattern

-Driving local buses in Cambridgeshire three core routes, with a small number of variations

-Needs to be customer-focussed

-Will be required to handle cash (although most people pay by card or pre-paid tickets)

-Route and ticket machine training will be given, along with type training on all vehicle types

-Will be required to wear smart and dark coloured trousers and shoes, a white shirt and tie will be provided along with a jacket.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week, less availabe
