Job description

Job title: Day Shift Engineer

Location: Static site based near Cambridge.

Terms:
Permanent contract - Split Days Shift (one week of earlies Monday to Friday 07.00 to 16.00 followed by a week of lates Monday to Thursday 10.00 to 19.00 and Friday 08.00 to 17.00.)

Salary/rate: Salary is paying 45,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements:

Qualifications should consist of the following:
Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent trade-based qualifications to level 3 (Required)
18th Edition IEE qualification (Required)
Other trade related qualification relevant to the building services environment
Experience of working in critical/closed control environments (Desired)
HV/LV competent person (CP) or approved person (AP) status working experience (Desired)
L8 Legionella Approved Code of Practice (Desired)
IOSH working safely (Desired)

About the role:
We are looking to take on board a strong Day Shift Engineer to work on a static building in Cambridgeshire. They are looking for a reliable engineer to contribute to the team and company, reporting to the contract manager.

Responsibilities:
To deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, client project support and strategic services in accordance with the client contract.
To respond to and undertake reactive works in a safe and efficient manner, always complying with legislative and contractual obligations.
Ensuring that records of work are sufficiently detailed, accurate and kept up to date.
Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations, to the agreed service level agreements.
Undertake Technical Risk Assessment and method statement reviews

Candidate requirements:

The ideal candidate is client facing (job activities that involve direct interaction or contact with a client or customer)
The ideal candidate has bundles of experience working as a electrical engineer and within the facilities maintenance industry
Strong building services background
At least three years' experience in a maintenance role
