British Sugar is a home-grown success story and one of the most efficient and competitive beet processers in the world. Around 3,500 farmers based in East Anglia and the East Midlands supply our four advanced manufacturing sites with eight million tonnes of sugar beet every year. We, in turn, make this in to over 1 million tonnes of sugar, serving customers across the UK, Ireland and increasingly growing commercially in the EU and world sugar markets.

Salary

Range 41,505.00 to 45,000.00

Job Purpose

Exciting new role supporting the strategy delivery for British Sugar with an opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of the business. The role will support all strategic pillars through reporting, business partnering project leads and providing insightful analysis. Supporting the capital governance process including project and cashflow reporting and preparation of budget/reforecasts. The individual will be an advocate of internal financial controls ensuring we are operating in line with ABF policy.

Core Accountabilities
  • Complete Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) reporting in line with the financial reforecasting timelines, ensuring review meetings are in place and movements between forecasts are clearly understood.
  • Responsible for period capital cashflow reporting including development of Power BI reports.
  • Balance sheet budgeting and forecasting of capital expenditure items and capital cashflow & creditors.
  • Responsible for Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and capital reporting requirements for ABF Sugar.
  • Review, analyse and challenge the Business Performance central overheads on a periodic basis.
  • Develop cashflow and programme analysis for site capital reviews.
  • Provide robust and insightful analysis enabling project managers and initiative leads to understand the financial value of projects.
  • Support the development of Business Intelligence and Capital Management systems.
  • Support the IETF funding process ensuring all the relevant controls are in place for the project in line with funding requirements.

  • AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier
