We are working with a housing association in Cambridgeshire who are looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join their team for 6-9 months and to drive significant improvements in their operations. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our team on an interim basis, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.

Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of our responsive maintenance contracts, void management, and planned works delivery. This role does not involve any people management responsibilities during the interim period. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are managed effectively and that all works are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day contract operations for responsive maintenance.
  • Oversee void management to ensure properties are ready for new tenants in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and deliver planned works projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and report on contract performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
As the Contracts Manager, you'll have extensive experience from working in a social housing environment.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven experience in day-to-day contract management for responsive maintenance.
  • Strong background in void management.
  • Experience of delivering planned works projects.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process will be a 2-stage process, including numerical and verbal reasoning and psychometric profiling.
What you'll get in return
This is a 6 to 9-month contract starting ASAP. You'll be paid a daily rate inside of IR35, day rate is negotiable. This is a full-time position, though 4 days may be considered, you'll be working a 37.5 hour week with 3 days onsite and working remotely.
