Assistant Planner / Town Planner

Location: Cheshire

Are you an ambitious Assistant Planner or Town Planner looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently working with a well-established housebuilder that is expanding their planning team and seeking a dedicated individual to join their office in Warrington.

The Role:
As an Assistant Planner or Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering residential developments from planning through to approval. Working alongside the Planning Manager, you will gain invaluable experience across all aspects of the planning process, providing support and guidance on a range of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation, submission, and management of planning applications.
  • Engaging with local authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Supporting the promotion of sites through Local Plans and strategic planning processes.
  • Preparing planning reports, conducting site appraisals, and monitoring changes in planning legislation.
  • Attending meetings, site visits, and public consultations as required.
  • Providing planning advice across multiple residential schemes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • Experience within a planning consultancy, housebuilder, or local authority is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive and motivated approach to work, with a keen eye for detail.
