Quantity Surveyor

Job description

A respected regional building / modular contractor with a rich pedigree of delivering new build and refurbishment projects across the south west and southern England are seeking a knowledgeable "stand-alone" Quantity Surveyor ideally with NEC option 3 & 4 contracts to commercially run a brand new build project in Newquay, the project is split into two MOD blocks with a build value around £6 million.

Generally their portfolio includes MOD, commercial, education, healthcare and industrial sectors with projects typically ranging from £1.5 million up to and over £100 million on 5 -10 year frameworks.

Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Tender and Contract documents
- Preparing Bills of Quantities
- Risk Management and Cost Control
- Sub Contractor Work Allocation
- Preparing Accurate Progress Reports and keeping accurate record of variations

- Identifying risks throughout the project
- Complete monthly valuations and payments and prepare detailed scope of works for sub contractors to price

- CVR's

Key Experience and Requirements:

- 5+ years Quantity Surveying experience with a build contractor.
- NEC option 3 & 4 contracts

- Modular build knowledge an advantage not essential.
- Excellent communication/ team work capability.
- Computer literacy will also be essential.
- The role will be reporting to the commercial manager based in their Head Office in Hampshire.
