Job description

At Falmouth Vets4Pets, we believe that you can have it all. From a fulfilling career with supportive colleagues, through to an idyllic hometown in which you can secure the best possible quality of life, everything is possible when you join us. Take our practice owner for example. She came to Falmouth 19 years ago, and she loved it so much that she never left. Instead, she chose to open this successful practice in the heart of the community and since then we have gone from strength to strength. And now we would like you to join us.

We currently have a superb opportunity for an RVN to join our team. Youll be joining us at a very exciting time in our journey completing our outgoing and welcoming team of 3 vets, Head Nurse, RVNs and student nurse plus our dedicated and wonderful team of receptionists.

The role is full time, 4 days a week with the same day off each week, allowing you to plan your social life, and just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, with no out of hours, Sundays or Bank Holiday duties, giving the whole team time to enjoy an enviable work/life balance.

As a 100% small animal GP accredited practice with an Outstanding PSS Award for Client Service, we are at the heart of community life. Many of our clients have been with us for years, trusting us to take the best possible care of their extended family members. We take great pride in developing trusted relationships with these clients, and we truly believe that every animal deserves the most compassionate care. Corporate in name only, we are independently run with no targets or upselling, ensuring our focus remains solely on the wellbeing of our patients and the satisfaction of our clients.

Not only is this an exciting career opportunity but possibly a real lifestyle change too. Every year, thousands of tourists flock to this beautiful part of the UK, but for those of us who are lucky enough to live here, we benefit from a dynamic and vibrant seaside culture, that is enhanced by white sand beaches and incredibly beautiful scenery. With a range of exceptional schools to choose from, a fun town culture with numerous restaurants and cafes, plus easy access to a broad range of water sports such as paddle boarding and sailing, Falmouth is a great place for every age group.

As well as the great location and lifestyle available, we also offer a generous benefits package which includes but is not limited to:

  • Competitive salary dependent on experience to £33,000.
  • Contributory pension scheme.
  • Funded CPD which is actively encouraged. (approx. 5 days away each year)
  • No out of hours, Sundays or bank holidays required.
  • Paid Lunch breaks.
  • Career development opportunities.
  • Paid memberships.
  • Great company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, and the Vet Group.

Pets just see people. They arent biased and they dont discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves, so even if your skills and experience dont perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
