Electrical Quantity Surveyor - MTC Division - Top Tier MEP Contractor - Belfast or Co Tyrone

Your new company
One of Northern Ireland's leading MEP engineering firms, renowned for its rich history and expertise in delivering large, complex projects across UK & Ireland, is currently seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor. This exciting opportunity is within their MTC division, with positions available in Belfast or Co. Tyrone.

Your new role

  • Engage with suppliers and sub-contractors to establish and maintain competitive tenders for each project.
  • Carry out on-site measurements of works to ensure agreement among all parties.
  • Coordinate efforts to meet client requirements.
  • Measure and value completed work and variations for interim payments and final accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure project information, costs, profitability, and value align with requirements.
  • Prepare subcontract orders for approval.
  • Visit sites to measure and value completed works.
  • Assess and process subcontractor payment entitlements.
  • Reconcile cost and value to date/forecast to inform management of project performance.
  • Collaborate with contract and site management staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of actions.

  • What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the Construction Industry.
  • Highly motivated and hard-working, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must hold a clean driving licence.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn and assist.
  • Organised and disciplined in planning and approach to work.
  • Confident and effective team player in a busy environment.
  • Full UK Driving licence (travel may be required to other offices)
