Assembly Operative

Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7JR
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Benefits!

Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 39 Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required Employee Assistance Programme, Full PPE and Full Training provided

We currently have an opportunity for an Assembly Operative to join our well-established manufacturing team.

As our Assembly Operative you will be responsible for:

  • Manufacturing sub assembly and final assembly of products.
  • Using basic hand tools.
  • Performing quality control checks on products.
  • Ensuring products are to the correct tolerances meeting standards and specifications.
  • Packing of product ready to ship to customer.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities.

In order to be successful in this role you should have:

  • Previous experience as an assembly operative within a manufacturing business.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/SOP s.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.
  • The ability to take a methodical and systematic approach to your work.
  • Effective communication skills.
