Part-time Temporary Payroll opportunity

Part-time Payroll Officer Location: Alfreton
Salary: £30000 pro rata
Hours: 24-25 per week
This client is looking for a temporary payroller on a long term basis with the potential to go permanently to join their team with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities:

• Process time and attendance data, including timesheets and leave requests.
• Utilise Sage 50 to manage payroll functions, including inputting employee data, calculating wages, and generating paychecks.
• Prepare and process the weekly payroll for 216 staff members.
• Ensure accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related items.
• Address payroll enquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.

Must have:

• Previous experience as a Payroller or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using Sage 50 or other payroll software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
• High level of accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.
