HR Advisor

Do you have a passion for employee relations and want to grow with a dynamic company?

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join their Alphington-based team, delivering pragmatic HR support to small and medium-sized enterprises across Greater Exeter.

In this client-facing role, you ll handle a variety of tasks, from advising on employee relations and performance management to handling restructures and TUPE.

You ll need to be self-motivated, ready to learn, and comfortable with managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner, and proficiency in Word and Excel are essential. Knowledge of HR software or CRM systems are a plus.

As a small team, they value flexibility and teamwork - be ready to pitch in across various activities. A driving licence and car are required for client visits. Hybrid and flexible working options are available upon request.

What the role entails:

  • Building strong relationships with clients.
  • Creating bespoke HR documentation contracts, handbooks, policies etc.
  • Providing pragmatic, commercially focussed HR, and employment law advice to clients.
  • Creating and delivering training to clients covering a range of different topics.
  • Delivering ad hoc projects for clients, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and well-being initiatives.

  • Passionate about HR and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A real student of the game in depth knowledge of HR best practice and employment law.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or ambitions to work towards.
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to manage a varied workload.
