Build Maintain Recruit is working with a well-established, family-owned business, that has been providing quality craftsmanship and exceptional service to the South West region for decades. Known for their reliability, collaboration, and forward-thinking approach, they are one of the area s most trusted manufacturers. As part of their continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to join the team and support ongoing business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar bookkeeping role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing sector.
• Effectively manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining high accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Perform daily financial entries and bank reconciliations.
• Manage debt control and support credit management processes.
• Accurately prepare and track invoices in line with project timelines.
• Monitor budgets to ensure alignment with financial goals and project targets.
• Prepare monthly and annual VAT returns.
• Assist with monthly management meetings by preparing and presenting financial reports.
• Continuously evaluate and support improvements in business processes, recommending adjustments where needed.

Skills and Experience
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience with CRM systems is beneficial.
Familiarity with other accounting software, such as Sage, is a plus.
