We are now looking to recruit our next cohort of newly qualified social workers to join our well regarded ASYE programme in September 2024. We welcome applications from final year social work students, or those who have qualified within the last 2 years who have not yet completed their assessed year of employment (ASYE).

Our ASYE Programme, with an optional commitment to remain with BCP for two years, will include an additional payment of £1,500 on starting employment, and £1,500 at your 6 months review point.

Your salary at the point of recruitment will be £33,024 plus £690 contractual supplement. Your salary on completion of your ASYE will be £38,653 (including £4,834 contractual supplement). Please note all BCP Council posts are pending Pay and Reward outcome in October.

We are seeking graduates with experience of working with children, young people and families, ideally in a final statutory placement, who want to extend their knowledge and skills to meet the Practice Standards for Child and Family Social Workers.

Our BCP Academy ASYE programme provides a year of support and learning designed to enable you to build the very best foundations and practice fundamentals for your future career in front line social work with vulnerable children, young people and families in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

You will receive a comprehensive induction programme before joining one of our teams for your assessed and supported year in practice. You will have monthly development and group supervision days and a dedicated mentor and practice assessor, In addition, the umber of allocated children and young people that you will be assigned to work alongside will be protected, to enable you to consolidate your learning and to give you time to develop your confidence and skills.
