Randstad are currently working with Tata Steel in Lisburn to fill a Process Operator role with the talent that is surrounding the local area.

Role - Process Operator

Rate of Pay - 12.21ph

Location - Tata Steel, Lissue Walk, Lisburn BT28 2SN, United Kingdom

Job Type - Contractual, Initially for 6 months with possibility of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours in a week, rotational shift

Start: Asap

Responsibilities:

• Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner and to good standards of workmanship to deliver the required levels of customer service.
• Recognise relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing.
• Understand and implement maintenance activities to facilitate optimum productivity.
• Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise machine availability.
• Understand, deploy, and seek to recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.
• Handle all material, including checking stock records, labeling, and storing according to commercial requirements and Corus Panels and Profiles policy.
• Be actively involved in your own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribution to succession requirements of the business.

Essential Experience:

• Manufacturing Background is preferable.
• Demonstrates dedication and commitment to producing high-quality work and achieving set goals.
• Reliable and trustworthy, consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of performance.
• Proactively takes initiative and displays a strong drive to accomplish tasks without constant supervision.
