Quantity Surveyor required in Essex working on projects up to value of £10m - £50k-£60k + Benefits

Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints. Your duties will include procuring subcontractors, preparing cashflow and cost value reconciliation reports, and managing contractual obligations. You will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants, ensuring that all commercial aspects of the projects are handled efficiently.
What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience working on commercial projects such as schools and care homes, with project values ranging from £1m to £10m.
  • Preferable experience using Construct software.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent in IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and relevant construction accounts management software.
