The role
The ERP Software Developer will play a critical role in the ongoing development and innovation of our in-house bespoke ERP system, CENTRAL. This role requires a collaborative approach with the company's business analysts to ensure that the system effectively fulfills the business requirements in a timely and risk-averse manner. The role entails supporting both the existing platform and future-proofing our operations by transitioning to a web-based architecture.
Day to day will:
- Support ERP System Development: Develop and maintain the current ERP system, CENTRAL, using .NET Framework and WINFORMS.
- Work with business analysts to understand, document, and fulfil business needs seamlessly.
- Assist in a stage-wise transition from the existing platform to a web-based platform, ensuring continuity and minimum disruption.
- Take an active role in the CENTRAL development group.
- Ensure thorough consideration and testing of any changes or upgrades before implementation in the live system.
This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based at our Rosyth site, with hybrid working arrangements- 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Software Developer:
- Proven experience in working with .NET Framework and WINFORMS.
- Strong understanding and experience in software development, particularly in ERP systems.
- Ability to manage risk and participate in comprehensive risk management activities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
