Group Finance Manager job opportunity for a qualified CA seeking their 2nd move in industry.

Your new company
Due to an internal promotion, our client, a growing national service sector company, has a new job opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Group Finance Manager.
Your new role
As Group Finance Manager, you will have ownership of the finance policies and procedures throughout the Group and play a key role in delivering improvements.
Responsibilities will be varied and include:

  • Ownership of both subsidiary level accounts preparation and group level consolidation and reporting.
  • Ownership of the monthly board reporting process
  • Monthly Group consolidation and close review, including delivery of a new online system for consolidation and financial planning
  • Group overheads - ownership of monthly management accounts, reviewing actuals against forecast/budget
  • Finance support for group projects
  • Enhancement of Group Finance processes
  • Statutory accounts preparation for Group and subsidiary companies
  • Management of the Group and subsidiary audits
  • Consulting with external consultants to develop and deliver the Group's tax strategy
  • Initial set up of accounting processes and integration for recently acquired businesses
  • Extensive stakeholder management across the business, both with operations senior management and wider finance team
  • Management and development of a team of 2 staff

  • What you'll need to succeed
  • A high calibre graduate with a good track record of achievement
    • Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant, have trained within practice and gained post-qualification commercial sector experience and will be seeking your 2nd move within industry.
    • You should bring a strong accounting background and enjoy working in the detail whilst also having the drive ongoing improvements.
  • Possess experience managing a group / large audit
  • Have excellent team management, mentoring and coaching skills
  • Exposure to ERP / systems improvement projects is highly desirable.
