Interim Purchase ledger clerk

Hays has partnered with an up and coming manufacturing business located in Gloucester. They are offering hybrid working and the potential for the role to be made permanent.

Processing Invoices: Purchase ledger clerks review and process invoices, ensuring they are accurate and correctly formatted.
Creating Identifying Codes: They create identifying codes for each invoice, making it easier for colleagues to track past payments during tax returns.
Supplier Management: Purchase ledger clerks set up credit accounts with new suppliers, add supplier details to the financial database, and track impending payments.
VAT Calculations: They calculate the VAT owed on purchased items.
Budgeting and Reporting: In small businesses, they estimate costs for budgeting purposes using invoices and compile data into reports for senior colleagues.
