Job description
As a Systems Engineer you'll use your background within IP networking to solve varied and interesting client problems. You'll do this by performing architecture design and assurance of complex systems that are highly resilient to cyber threats.
Roke are a leading technology & engineering company with clients spanning National Security, Defence and Industry; working alongside our customers to solve their complex and unique challenges by bringing the physical and the digital together.
As a Systems Engineer you'll also investigate how emerging technologies can be utilised to increase agility and security, whilst also frequently engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders; and writing technical material for competitive bids, although this is not a pre-sales role.
This will be a client facing role so you should be a Systems Engineer that can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and be willing to spend time at client locations.
The Key Requirements
As well as a background in systems engineering and IP networks, you should:
- Be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering solutions in complex system environments
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Be able to understand, adapt and architect complex systems.
- Cryptographic systems and/or key management
- High assurance systems involving cross domain solutions
- U.K. Defence & National Security Information Assurance systems and processes.

Where you'll work
You'll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.
