Job description
Finance Manager - A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join this dynamic Company at a time of growth and development where the Company is looking to grow significantly over the next few years.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible to efficiently and accurately oversee the financial management of the business including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of management accounts, cash flow management and auditing.
The Finance Manager will be a talented, professional and experienced individual, capable of managing the finance team, liaising with departments across the business, supporting them and managing their budgets.
Duties
• Take ownership for the management of the day to day operations within the finance team
• Ensure accurate reporting and communications with all departments in the business in a timely manner
• Prepare timely and reliable monthly management accounts
• Co-ordinate the month-end process including stock, sales and purchase ledgers
• Reconcile balance sheet and review P&L as part of the month-end process
• Maintain the cash flow forecast
• Manage budgeting and forecasting process, including variances
• Review spending against budget with individual department heads
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Develop relationships with external advisors e.g. banks, accountants, HMRC
• Prepare year end accounts and liaise with the accountants
• Oversee preparation of the quarterly VAT returns & all other compliance deliverables, such as PAYE
• Manage monthly payroll, including annual reporting of P60s and P11Ds
• Additional ad-hoc duties or project work as assigned by the Finance Director
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience, the successful applicant must be able to clearly demonstrate the passion and ability to influence at a senior level and provide strategic input and direction to ensure the Company s growth and success. Other requirements are:
• Proven ability in a similar role along with experience managing a team
• ACCA ( or similar) would be desirable
• First rate systems skills including Excel to an advanced level, experience in Xero Accounting preferred
• Good organisational, planning and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
