Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position in Greenwich, Southeast London

A Primary School in Greenwich, Southeast London, is looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join their team as a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

About the Role:

• Start Date: September
• Contract type: Long term, full-time, temporary contract until July 2025.
• Pay: £100.00 £120.00 per day (holiday pay included).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of a variety of subjects with, working alongside a senior lead teacher.
• Prepare, deliver, and lead a variety of classes (on occasion).
• Engage 1:1/in small groups with students to help grow their academic potential.
• Work collaboratively with staff to enhance the learning experience for all students.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of a 2:1 University degree, one ideally transferrable to Education, or Early Childhood subjects.
• Passionate about working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
• Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to build a positive rapport with pupils and teachers alike.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting (a full academic years experience is preferred).
