Job description

Our London based residential housing client is committed to creating safer homes and communities. We're looking for a dedicated Building Safety Manager with a passion for protecting lives and properties-someone ready to take the lead in ensuring our client's buildings comply with the latest safety regulations.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be at the heart of building safety compliance, ensuring that every property aligns with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and Duty of Care obligations. You'll oversee inspections, coordinate safety plans, and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop safer environments for residents.

This is more than a compliance role-it's about using your problem-solving skills and ability to positively influence others to make a lasting impact. You'll lead from the front, ensuring safety remains at the core of everything we do.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience:
    • A strong background in building safety compliance and practical management of building safety risks.
    • You may have come from a Fire Safety or Fire Safety Inspecting Officer background, bringing with you valuable expertise in evaluating compliance and safeguarding environments.
  • Qualifications:
    • A degree or diploma in construction, fire safety, or a related field.
    • Membership (or eligibility) in professional bodies like RICS, IFE, IFSM, IOSH, IIRSM, or CQI.
  • Knowledge: An understanding of legislation governing building safety and fire safety.
  • Skills:
    • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
    • Commitment to customer service and fostering a culture of safety.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Compliance with our Council's Equal Opportunities policy.
    • Travel flexibility across sites in London.

This is your chance to work with a forward-thinking organization where safety, quality, and customer care are top priorities. Your expertise will have a direct impact on making homes safer, protecting lives, and shaping the future of residential safety in London.
