Job description

Thorn Baker is working in collaboration with an established Facilities Management SME to recruit two driven and highly ambitious Business Development Managers who can be based anywhere in the UK.

The team is supportive, collaborative and committed to providing exceptional service to their clients. They require candidate who have previously or who are currently, working within the Facilities Management/ Contract Cleaning sector.

Key Responsibilities include but aren't restricted to;

  • Identifying and searching for potential clients through research, cold-calling, networking, and territory mapping
  • Building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients to generate new sales
  • Conduct thorough research on market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies
  • Understand clients' cleaning needs and provide customised solutions to meet their requirements
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure quality service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Conduct professional and persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our services
  • Regularly meet and exceed sales targets
  • Report to the Sales Manager on KPI's and revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and update the CRM system
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and participate in training and development activities to enhance sales skills
  • Attend Networking events to support new client conversion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience of selling within the contract cleaning industry
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and results-driven
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license

Our client is interested in someone who demonstrates good values, an ambitious and driven mindset and a desire to learn. A background of selling within the Facilities Management industry isn't essential, but experience of selling a service is a great starting point for the role.
