About the Team:

You will be working alongside a great team, we are highly driven and ambitious for our council, our residents, and our place as we work collaboratively and support each other.

This role reports to the Casework & Change Manager and will offer a great opportunity to work in a successful HR Policy & Employment Relations team, to enable good people management practice across the council.

About the Role:

You will be managing the Employee Relations (ER) cases appropriately and consistently across all the Directorates. Providing effective advice and support to Line Managers, on the application of the policies and procedures.

Leading and supporting change projects and initiatives across the Council to ensure successful implementation, using your expert advice and guidance on change management principles and best practice.

Day to Day responsibilities will involve coaching and supporting the line managers to ensure effective management of employee relations cases. This will involve using your expert knowledge of employment law to identify and monitor key trends in the ER casework. Looking for opportunities to improve policies, line management ways of working and capability challenges.

Stakeholder management will be high on the day-to-day agenda, through engaging with key stakeholders, colleagues within the HR function and the Trade Union representatives.
