Insurance Credit Controller

Your new role

• Ensure Global UK outstanding ledger balances and unallocated cash, are kept to a minimum.
  
• Production of credit control reports for Aged Debtors and Unallocated Cash, including commentary, plus ad hoc financial reporting.
  
• Production and remittance of statements of account / ledger downloads to brokers and companies. Actively pursue responses, agreement and settlement of debtor balances. Resolve discrepancies
  
• Reconciliation and agreement of incoming statements of account, and accurate allocation of payments to insurance ledger transactions.
  
• Raising and checking new payee records and payments, in accordance with global financial procedures and policies.
  
• Liaising with external insurance market entities, and support of internal departments and other global offices.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• 2+ years experience in insurance accounts / credit control, in the London Insurance Market, either with a Broker or Insurance Company.
  
• Sound knowledge of the London Market insurance industry, and working knowledge of bureau Accounting and Settlement procedures.
  
• Good working knowledge of insurance computer systems, Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  
• Technical accounting knowledge in insurance / reinsurance would be useful.
