Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy Head Teacher to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the school's vision and ethos, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and supporting the Head Teacher in the overall management of the school.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Teacher in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
  • Lead on curriculum development and ensure the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Oversee the implementation of school policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, providing feedback and support to staff.
  • Manage staff performance and professional development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the school's values and achievements.
  • Deputise for the Head Teacher in their absence.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within a secondary school.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
