If you're an experienced Designer, you could be a leading specialist in complete Roofing, Facades, and Cladding solutions on a full-time, permanent basis. With a current expansion phase and many projects across the UK, it's a great time to become part of the team.

YOUR NEW ROLE

• Ensure the timely production of construction drawings and designs to a high-quality standard.

• Manage the development and implementation of design proposals, ensuring client satisfaction.

• Maintain budget constraints - to keep the design financially viable.

• Submit proposals for client approval.

• Oversee the design process.

• Keep comprehensive documentation of design and development, adhering to ISO9001 standards.

• Stay informed about changes in building legislation and design-related codes of practice.

• Coordinate information submission for building control compliance.

• Lead the production and coordination of design data, bid deliverables, reports, and documentation, tracking progress against the design deliverables program.

• Supervise the design across multiple projects during the contract term.

• Interpret architectural design intent documentation to devise suitable construction solutions.

• Align subcontractor drawings from different trades to avoid conflicts and achieve a unified design.

• Verify product technical data for compliance and integrate into designs.

• Contribute to the management of design schedules.

• Offer design and technical support across all departments during the design and construction stages.

• Conduct design team meetings, guiding the process alongside consultants and subcontract designers.

• Compile comprehensive site reports from surveys, detailing progress, quality, and compliance.

ABOUT YOU

• Ideally you will have a minimum of five years experience in - Hard metal Roofing and Cladding Design

• Construction / design-related further education is advantageous

• Hold a UK valid Driving Licence

• MUST be able to work to tight deadlines along with providing high levels of customer care

• Ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships

• Demonstratable track record of ensuring quality design information is provided in in-line with project requirements

• High-level competency with AutoCAD and BIM

• Knowledge of approved document part B and NHBC conditions is ESSENTIAL

• Membership of a professional body (ADVANTAGEOUS)

• A good understanding of core construction ideas / principles

• Have the ability to clearly communicate construction concepts, both visually and verbally, as required

• Familiarity with online document portals (ADVANTAGEOUS)
