About the role

We are recruiting an EMEA Health & Safety Advisor to join the team in London. As a CBRE Health & Safety Advisor, you will be the key advisor and subject matter expert for all Health, Safety and Environmental matters undertaken within the client in EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the trusted advisor to the client and CBRE team, to ensure compliance with the highest standards of health, safety and security.
  • To lead CBRE's Health, Safety, and Environment procedures relating to management of the KES Master plan Works.
  • Provide consistent guidance, advice & support to the Project Delivery Office Lead and Client, to ensure HSE issues are addressed efficiently and appropriately.
  • Support the Project Delivery Office in ensuring that all works on site are taking place in a safe and well planned out manner, adhering to all legal, safety and environmental standards.
  • Working with the Programme Leads for each project to ensure the correct use and completion of the CBRE QHSE Project Procedure.
  • Provide advice to the Project Management team, to ensure each capital project has sufficient budget and resource consideration to minimising foreseeable risk.
  • Supporting with the on boarding of contractors to the E permit platform by providing adhoc guidance as well as training them on the system and resolving any issues.
  • Carrying out Epermit audits on project contractor permits similar to BAU process.
  • Carrying out PjM Project audits on works taking place on site.
  • Reviewing submitted weekly project inspections as well as carrying out spot checks and completing monthly manager's inspections on behalf of Project Managers.
  • Supports CBRE Project Managers and Programme Managers to ensure Clients site HSE policies are being adhered to by contractors.
  • Escalate risks and issues through the appropriate management structure.
  • Support Global HSE Lead with any accident / incident investigations.
  • Identifies potential risks, implements key controls and is accountable for ensuring BAC's performance and risk objectives are met through contract adherence.
  • Supports contractors / Programme Leads with hazard reporting across Projects and promotes good safety culture within all works taking place on site by being the focal point for all questions.
  • Ensure that CBRE delivers and reports against the contractual HSE obligations, including monitor client & CBRE contractor HSE performance via routine and ad hoc inspections.
  • Provide HSE guidance and advice to the FM team, to maintain compliance with the client's & CBRE standards of health, safety and security.


Experience Required
  • IOSH Managing safely minimum ideally Nebosh General Certificate
  • IOSH membership or equivalent
  • Management of Contractors
  • CDM Awareness
  • Full working knowledge of account Permit to work system
  • Customer focussed
  • Understanding of the programme management process
  • Past experience of RAM reviews and safety management
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in English; a second European language would be an advantage
  • Be able to impact and influence all levels of CBRE and client business
  • Ability to influence a global client
  • Excellent IT skills - excel spreadsheets, Word and PowerPoint
