  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Experience of Management and supervision of staff
  • Sound knowledge of current Adult Social Care legislation and their application in casework management
  • Enhanced DBS
  • A comprehensive understanding of strengths-based and preventative social care.
  • Experience supervising qualified social workers.

About the Team:

Community Advice and Support Team is an integral part of our front-door service, shifting away from traditional process-led interventions to a progressive practice model that promotes client empowerment and independence. We are committed to reducing reliance on statutory services by tapping into the strengths and resources of our community. As part of this team, you'll contribute to safeguarding adults through effective screening and management of referrals into adult social care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Empowering Service Users: Champion independence and choice by promoting strength-based, person-centered practice.
  • Leadership and Performance Management: Provide operational and motivational leadership, managing a team of 4 Social Workers, 2 Senior Social Workers, and 2 Social Care Assessors.
  • Safeguarding: Lead in safeguarding adults at risk by overseeing Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses to concerns.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage incoming work and allocation decisions, ensuring high-quality service delivery across all cases.
