The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic Health Charity to find their Events & Community Fundraising Manager.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working and an expectation of working from their London office 2 days per week.

As a key part of our ambitious fundraising strategy, the Fundraising & Events Team Manager will lead on, shape and deliver activity to generate income around key areas including events, community, challenges and volunteer-led fundraising.

The post-holder will lead on a review of the business model of our events programme leading to recommendations as to the future direction of the programme, as well as leading on the delivery of the programme in areas under management.

Key Responsibilities:

To manage and deliver a portfolio of key income streams as outlined in the Charity s fundraising strategy including the Charity s annual programme of fundraising events, community and challenge event fundraising and fundraising activity led by volunteers

To act as a member of the fundraising management team alongside 3 other fundraising managers, leading on the delivery of the fundraising strategy

To act as a senior project manager for some specific activities, including major events within the programme

To develop and deliver a robust programme of fundraising events in line with the fundraising team s needs, working closely with colleagues leading on major appeals and work with high value donors and institutional funders

To lead on stewardship activities for supporters across events, community and challenge events, managing team members who are directly responsible for these areas

To lead on a review of the charity s existing programme of events aimed at improving return on investment and delivering a programme of events in line with wider strategic objectives

Person Specification:

Excellent experience with a successful track record of charity fundraising across a broad range of disciplines including events and legacy giving

A thorough understanding of GDPR, ICO and Fundraising Regulator guidelines and legislation around prospect and donor development

Successful track record of recruiting and stewarding event participants

Able to manage expectations of a number of stakeholders with competing priorities

Proven ability to successfully influence and engage with a range of audiences and stakeholders

Able to communicate with empathy to patients and their families, and with passion and influence to potential supporters
