Job description

The opportunity

Are you a skilled and experienced administrator looking for your next role? University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor / Head of College at Central Saint Martins.

As a member of the UAL Executive Board, the Pro Vice-Chancellor / Head of College (PVC/HoC) is responsible for the leadership, direction, and day-to-day operations of the College and for delivering a large cross-university thematic portfolio. In this role, you'll support the PVC/HoC with balancing these important responsibilities, helping to manage their time effectively.

As an Executive Assistant, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the PVC/HoC's diary and schedule, provide administrative project support, manage correspondence and coordinate travel arrangements. You'll also be expected to provide additional ad-hoc support to members of the College Executive as required.

In addition to this, you'll serve as a key liaison to the College Executive Group and UAL's senior management teams, assisting with the organisation and coordination of executive outreach and external relations efforts.

About you

We're looking for a hard-working and personable individual, with significant administrative experience at a senior level.

You'll possess significant experience of complex diary management, communicating sensitive messages and dealing with confidential enquiries. In addition to this, you'll also have experience of co-ordinating senior-level meetings and servicing committees, drawing on your strong attention to detail and note-taking skills.

With strong IT skills, you'll be proficient in the use of MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and will possess experience of using online tools for diary management, financial administration, and HR administration.

Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills are also essential for success in this role, along with a sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure.
