Salary - Up to 36,000 with a total package up to 47,000 (including bonus, car allowance)

Location - Flexible and hybrid working with travel to our London office

We are seeking a highly proactive and dynamic External Engagement Lead to support the External Engagement Manager. You will design and deliver strategic regional campaigns to support the delivery of the UK ECO team media and content strategy. The External Engagement Lead will support the development of news and content for internal and external audiences and implement it to achieve targets in those areas.

The External Engagement Lead will manage the External Engagement Officers and support contracts across the UK ECO team to deliver engaging and innovative content for local authority customers to strengthen Veolia's position as the partner of choice. They will also lead on the development of national campaigns and monitor social media to build a consistent communications strategy and react to crisis communications, whilst delivering excellent customer service across Veolia's digital platforms.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the External Engagement Manager with the development of national strategies and plans.
  • Line manage and drive performance of the External Engagement Officers.
  • Support the External Engagement Manager with autonomy to coordinate Digital and PR activities and campaigns across the UK ECO Team network.
  • Embed the company culture (purpose and values) within your own team and wider contract teams where needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate digital campaigns and share best practice across the UK ECO Team.
  • Develop relationships with local, regional and trade media and with client communication teams.
  • Maintain a network across the UK ECO team to identify opportunities to coordinate innovation, cost-saving measures and process improvement and lead on the implementation in their region where relevant.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience designing and delivering social media, social advertising and digital campaigns.
  • Experience designing and developing content across multiple formats in particular filming and video editing.
  • Expert in communication and content production across multiple formats.
  • Expertise in dealing with media proactively and reactively.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Graphics, filming and video editing skills.
