EYFS Teaching Assistant

Q - Are you a creative graduate looking to gain experience supporting young children with their learning before pursuing a career in Early Development or Teaching?

If so, then this role is great for you!

We are working closely with a Primary School in Brentford who are looking for passionate and bubbly graduates, who are able to complete a full academic year (starting in September 2024) supporting pupils aged 4-5. In this role, you will be helping the young pupils improve their motor skills, language development, pastoral care and their academics.

Within this role, you will be assisting young pupils who are still developing and may have undiagnosed SEN, so sensitivity and care is a must for this opportunity. You need to have the ability to adapt and change seamlessly as this role is diverse and no day will be the same.

This role is perfect for those who have creativity and imagination. The school offer amazing training and support so, for those looking to go into Teaching or Early Development, this role is a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience before pursuing your career!

Job Description EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • EYFS Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting young pupils aged 4-5
  • Working with pupils who are still developing in early development
  • Improving young pupils with their motor skills which will consist of holding a pen, picking up a water bottle, drawing and many more.
  • Assisting them with their language development, helping with putting words together and creating a simple sentence
  • Pastoral support for all.
  • Working with SEN and undiagnosed pupils who have Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and many more
  • Working in 1:1 and group settings to maximise the pupils potential
  • Monday to Friday 8:30-4pm
  • £105 - £110 per day
  • September 2024 start (for full academic year)
  • Located in Brentford
  • Full - Time, Long Term

Candidate Specification - EYFS Teaching Assistant

  • Bright graduate who has a 2:1 or 1st class degree
  • Strong GCSE and A-Level grades
  • Strong passion for working with young pupils
  • Enthusiasm and creative to be able to inspire children with learning
  • Patience, kindness, flexibility, good humour and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Sensitive and caring approach when helping the pupils and others
  • Professional attitude and approach to work
