Job description

Our client, a successful and growing Events and Merchandising company, are seeking an experienced Group Head of Finance on an interim to permanent basis for a newly created role. Reporting to the CEO this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Senior Leadership team. The position is office based at the company s West London site which has excellent transport links and on-site parking, there is some flexibility for remote working one day a week.

The Group Head of Finance will be responsible for supporting the CEO to drive the commercial strategy and oversee their UK and German Finance teams, as well as working with a number of international partners. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and oversee intercompany transactions. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, driving financial performance and ensuring compliance with international standards.

You will oversee the preparation of project and year-end statutory accounts (turnover circa £50mil) in accordance with reporting guidelines. Be responsible for intercompany accounting and ensuring accurate consolidation of financial results across regions in compliance with UK, German, and international financial regulations and standards. The role will involve close collaboration with the Directors on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and play a key part in commercial decision making.

The successful candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience of managing teams in international settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP across complex business operations.
  • Experience in managing intercompany accounting across international entities.
  • Solid leadership skills and experience of mentoring/coaching a team
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks desirable and other financial management tools
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and identify process improvements
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The role offers a salary of £80,000 pro rata. This is an interim role with the full possibility of becoming permanent so only candidates who are available from the beginning of December can be considered.
