Job description

JKS Restaurants are seeking a Head of Bars to oversee Bar operations in Berenjak. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Group Bar Manager looking for an opportunity in an award winning, critically acclaimed group.

The Restaurant

Berenjak is named after the handfuls of brightly coloured, toasted rice eaten as a snack at funfairs in Persia.

Wherever you visit Berenjak, you can expect to be immersed in Iran s rich cultural history. At Soho, you can find our reinterpretation of the hole-in-the-wall kabab houses that line the streets of Tehran, whereas in Borough, the Berenjak Townhouse journeys out of the centre of Tehran and into the rural foothills of the Alborz mountains which surround the city.

The Role

As Head of Bars you will have experience managing multiple outlets, you will have a good understanding of cocktails, beers and whiskey, be outgoing, driven and flexible. The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple bar teams across a selection of the group's restaurants including - training, rotas, stock and cost control. Good understanding of wine and a WSET qualification in wine / spirits would be desirable.

Responsibilities:

As the Head of Bars, you will be at the forefront of our beverage operations, managing and inspiring multiple bar teams across our diverse range of restaurants in London and internationally. Your role encompasses:

Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our bars, ensuring seamless service and memorable experiences.
• Implement efficient training programs for bar staff to uphold the highest standards of service.
• Recruit & develop Bar teams that are passionate, productive and align with business demands.
• Involvement in bar design for new openings to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Creative Direction

• Bring a creative flair to our beverage offerings, contributing to the development and evolution of cocktail, beer, and whiskey menus.
• Demonstrate and instil impeccable attention to detail.

Financial Oversight

• • Take charge of stock management and cost control to optimize profitability without compromising on quality.
• • Contribute to the development and management of budgets for the bars, driving financial success.

What we re looking for:

• Proven track record as a Head of Bars or Group Bar Manager overseeing multiple outlets within a high-quality hospitality group.
• A hands-on approach, eager to lead by example and actively contribute to the day-to-day operations through involvement in service across Berenjak sites.
