Role Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the educational and emotional needs of students, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance to succeed. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and managing student behaviour.

• Working one-on-one with students who require additional support, adapting learning materials to meet their needs.

• Encouraging students engagement and participation in lessons, helping them to build confidence and independence.

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs, monitoring progress, and providing feedback to teaching staff.

• Collaborating with colleagues and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant:

• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

• Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable.

• Understanding of the special educational needs (SEN) framework.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A compassionate approach and the ability to motivate and support students effectively.

• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, may be advantageous.
