Description

Management Accountant responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely consolidated management accounts to agreed deadlines.
• Assist the Finance Manager with the investigations of budget variances.
• Complete balance sheet control accounts reconciliations including bank reconciliation, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain the nominal ledger coding structure and ensure that all transactions are correctly coded.
• Prepare and post income recognition journals as part of the month end and year end process.
• Follow month end procedure, post month end journals, update the schedules including energy, rates and refectory.
• Advise budget holders on routine accounting matters as required.
• Assist the Finance Director and Finance Manager with the production of the consolidated year end accounts.
• Assist the Finance Director and Finance Manager with cashflow forecasting and monitoring.
• Reconcile and process incentive payments to employers.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as and when required.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Salary: 40,000 to 44,000 per annum
