Job description

We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our client, a global engineering company based in South West London. This is a permanent staff role, with an immediate start date.

You MUST have had previous experience within the engineering industry (offshore oil & gas / renewable energy sector experience is preferred but not essential)

Job Description:

The Paralegal plays a vital role in supporting the legal function across multiple jurisdictions, in advising the relevant Business Lines and Operating Companies. Working closely with the Regional Legal Affairs Manager and business stakeholders, this position involves providing proactive legal counsel, managing litigation risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

The Paralegal is also instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal department's knowledge management and documentation systems.

Skills/Experience required:

  • 4 years PQE, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting, with exposure to international matters.
  • Previous experience within the engineering industry is essential
  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate and proficient in legal document management and knowledge management systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Business level proficiency in a foreign language (French, German, Norwegian or Chinese) is an added advantage although not essential.

Location: London

Working hours: Full time, 5 days per week. 1-2 days per week remote working may be possible by arrangement with client.
