The role
The Pricing Director is responsible for the strategic leadership and governance of the company s pricing function across all markets and product lines. This role ensures that pricing strategies align with business objectives, maximize profitability, and enhance competitive positioning. The Pricing Director will guide the pricing teams in the divisions, work closely with senior leadership, and serve as the primary architect of long-term pricing initiatives. This position has a heavy emphasis on driving pricing excellence through data-driven decisions and fostering a culture of pricing discipline across the organization.

What you ll be doing
Strategic Pricing Leadership:
-Drive the implementation of advanced pricing models that align with both short-term and long-term business goals.
-Ensure pricing strategies contribute to revenue growth, margin improvement, and market competitiveness.
Governance and Oversight:
-Establish pricing governance frameworks, ensuring that pricing guidelines are adhered to across regions, business units, and customer segments.
-Regularly review and audit pricing performance across the organization to ensure alignment with strategy and enforce corrective actions where needed.
-Oversee (dotted line) the Pricing Managers and ensure their effective implementation and enforcement of pricing policies at operational levels.
Executive Collaboration and Influence:
-Partner with C-suite executives and key stakeholders to align pricing strategy with broader business goals (e.g., profitability targets, market share expansion).
-Present pricing findings, and recommendations to senior leadership, including financial justifications for any changes to the proposed pricing methods.
-Serve as the pricing subject matter expert during strategic discussions, including product launches, M&A activity, and market expansion.
Pricing Innovation and Optimization:
-Lead initiatives to innovate and refine pricing models, including value-based pricing, dynamic pricing, and discounting strategies.
-Ensure the pricing organization leverages advanced analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to make data-driven pricing decisions.
-Champion the adoption of pricing tools, systems, and software that enhance pricing accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
-Track and report on the financial performance of pricing strategies, analysing their impact on revenue, profitability, and market positioning.
-Identify trends, opportunities, and risks within pricing data and adjust strategies accordingly.
-Ensure that pricing strategies are continuously monitored, evaluated, and improved upon.
Team Leadership and Development:
-Mentor team of pricing professionals.
-Build a high-performing pricing team that has the skills and capabilities to execute complex pricing strategies.
What we re looking for
-Bachelor s or Master s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
-Significant experience in strategic pricing, revenue management, or a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership in pricing strategy.
-Proven experience in leading and implementing pricing strategies at the director level in a mid-to-large scale business.
-Strong expertise in financial modelling, data analytics, and pricing software.
-Excellent executive-level communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present complex pricing strategies to senior leadership.
-Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor pricing, and advanced pricing methodologies.
-Ability to define and drive a strategic pricing vision that aligns with corporate strategy.
-Demonstrated success in leading teams and guiding cross-functional collaboration on pricing initiatives.
-Experience with innovative pricing models and the ability to drive continuous improvements.
-Ability to communicate and influence at the highest levels of the organization.
